The SHIFT is On!
March 19, 2010By Dr. Kenneth R. Sesley

Hello Champions!

This is my inaugural blog posting; and I believe that it is a significant one for the body of Christ!

Better than two weeks ago, while I was in prayer the Holy Spirit said several significant things to me concerning the hour that we are living in.

The first is that a major shift has taken place in the realm of the spirit for the good of the body of Christ.  This shift is a greater out-pouring of the glory of God in the earth realm.  This shift includes new mantles or new anointings for the people of God to reap God's harvest of souls!

I am a faith, healing and prosperity preacher.  I am part of that name it and claim it, blab it and grab it bunch!  I'm naming and claiming and blabbing and grabbing everything I can, in Jesus' name (Mark 11:22-23).  But I don't care what camp you're from or in, our primary mandate is found in Matthew 28:18-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit".  So no matter which camp you're in and no matter your theological background, we must reap God's harvest of lost souls.

Less than a week after the Holy Spirit told me of the shift, Gloria Copeland and Billye Brim came on the Believer's Voice of Victory program talking about the shift.  Then that night, Benny Hinn and Kim Clement were on Benny Hinn's program talking about the shift. This shift deals with picking up the anointings or mantles that have fallen from powerful men and women of God who have moved to heaven. I actually preached about this the Sunday prior to the Monday that I tuned into to both these programs and heard them speaking about this.  And the glory of God fell in our church that Sunday in a magnificent way to confirm God's Word!

While I was in prayer, the Holy Spirit pointed out to me, as an example of this shift, that when Elijah was carried away to heaven by a chariot, a shift took place.  The shift was that Elisha asked for a double portion and received it!  That's the shift.  Great men and women of God from several camps have been leaving earth for heaven lately. From the Charismatic/Word of Faith Camp, Dr. Lester Sumrall, Kenneth E. Hagin, Oretha Hagin, Evelyn Roberts, Billy Joe Daughtery and Oral Roberts, to name a few, and many others, have moved to heaven, leaving many of us in the Charismatic/Word of Faith camp feeling the same way Elisha must have felt.  Elisha cried out saying:  My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof, indicating his deep sense of loss.  But Elisha grieved for only a moment.  Then he picked up the mantle that fell from Elijah and used it by striking the River Jordan, saying:  "Where is the Lord God of Elijah", and the waters parted.  It's time for us to pick up the mantles that have fallen and part the water, in Jesus' name!

As I listened to both Billye Brimm and Benny Hinn, they both told about how they had received "a word" from the Lord that when Oral Roberts and Billy Graham moved to heaven, there would be a major shift in the spirit realm.  Benny Hinn was told this way back in 1997 and Billye Brimm in 2007.  Even though God just spoke this to me this year, I told an associate in ministry that, "...at least I know that I am in the game concerning what God is saying for this hour..." (lol).  Can you put lol in a blog?  Anyway, we need to be aware of what is taking place in the spirit realm, so we can pick up the mantles that we need to finish our course and make full proof of our ministries!

Today, many of us are wondering what we are to do with our spiritual mothers and fathers moving to heaven.  For those of us in the Charismatic/Word of Faith camps, many of our generals have moved to heaven in the last decade or so.  I have said, and I have heard others say:  "Oh how I miss brother so and so, or sister so and so..." as we still sort of mourn their loss.  We rejoice that they are in heaven, but we miss them and their ministry to the body of Christ and the world.  But this isn't true of just well known Generals.  There are some unknown prayer warriors, like my godmother, who have moved to heaven.  I've never met anyone who could intercede and turn a situation around like she could.  One example is when my older brother had received orders to go to Vietnam in 1968.  But he called my mom and asked her to have Sister Chris Cole to pray.  Well she did.  She told my mother, "It will not be so...the Lord said it will not be so"!  My brother's transport plane was on the runway to take him to Vietnam, when his superior officer on the plane received a call saying that he was ordered to Japan!  He had to get his gear, jump out on the runway and high tail it back to the airport.  I not only miss her, I miss praying with her and yes, even having her pray for me!  Prayer mantles like hers are still available.  They don't need them in heaven, but we need them here on earth.  Many of them have just fallen to the ground with no one being there to take them up.  But spiritual things never die!  So we can go back and pick them up or ask for God to drop them from heaven during this shift, glory to God!

Well we've rent our garments (a sign of mourning) for long enough.  We will be meeting up with these generals and lesser known warriors soon and very soon, as the old song says, along with the King of Glory and our Heavenly Father!  Now it's time for the body of Christ to pick up these mantles or anointings and begin to use them as our spiritual mother's and fathers have before us; but with twice the power that they walked in. This is going to take the kind of commitment to follow after them the way that Elisha demonstrated in following after Elijah, and the kind of faith that Elijah had to ask for something hard.  (Elijah said, if you see me when I go.  It's more than seeing with the physical eyes.  The sons of the prophets also saw Elijah go.  But they didn't get any portion of his spirit or anointing...to my knowledge.  To see there means to discern or to perceive.  It is used of prophetically seeing or seeing with the eyes of the spirit man.

There is still more that we need to perceive of the generals that have preceded us.  But we still have their books and their recorded messages to learn what they learned over decades, so we can pick up from where they left off and do twice what they did.  That's hard to speak of, because we hold them in such high regard.  I'm not saying this as some little "punk" that wants his turn in line and is glad they are gone.  In fact, God said these things to me because I had been telling Him how much I missed brother Hagin.  But I've heard Brother Hagin say this to us many times since 1981 and even more so as he knew that his departure was at hand.  Let's not let him or any of these generals down.  Our generals paid a great price to reach the levels of spiritual development that they reached.  Let's not let King Jesus down.  We know the price that he paid. (We should all watch Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of the Christ" at least once a year, possibley around Easter, Passover or Resurrection Season, as a reminder. Selah.)

These mantles are not just for pulpit, "five-fold"  or priestly ministry.  There are praying anointings or mantles, witnessing anointings or mantles (both of which are for all believers), serving mantles, leadership mantles and kingly (business and governmental) mantles or anointings.  Whatever you are called to do, there is a mantle or anointing for it.  In addition to that, every Spirit filled believer should operate in dunamis or supernatural power to do all the works of Jesus, such as healing the sick and casting out demons (John 14:12), glory to God!

Yes Elisha asked a hard thing...but it was granted him.  We need to start asking some hard things, like "Lord, give us entire cities, counties, states, regions and nations!  Dear Lord, help us to expand the Kingdom of God.  Help us to take over entire business industries. Help us to win the lost, make disciples, heal the sick and preach the gospel to the poor with double the anointing of our spiritual fathers and mothers!"  Amen (truth, so be it).

Faith is the most important Bible subject that the believers needs to master after being born again. Why? Everything else in the kingdom of God works on the basis of faith...including love. Without master faith, which is acting on what you believe rather than what you see, hear or feel, you will never be able to walk in love because agape love or the God kind of love isn't based upon feelings; it's based on doing the Word of God. That takes faith, and so does everything else in the Kingdom of God!
In this article, our pastor, Dr. Kenneth Sesley examines the true purpose of Christmas that has been mostly overlooked by the body of Christ the world over.
Easter is only five and half weeks away, and I want to know if you, your pastor and/or your church is prepared for what God wants to do in your church this Easter?
