Have We Forgotten the God Kind of Faith?
May 24, 2013By Dr. Kenneth R. Sesley

"...Nevertheless, when the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"  Luke 18:8 (NKJV)

As you can see from our verse above, the Lord asked His disciples if He would REALLY find faith on the earth upon His return.

A few years ago, I was in Tulsa, Okalahoma, when I had a supernatural encounter with the Lord!  He visited me and reminded me of this verse, then the Lord asked me this:  "What kind of faith was I speaking about in this verse"?  I responded by saying, "I don't know Lord, please tell me". The Lord replied, "Why Mark 11:22 Faith of course!"

Let's look at that verse:

Mark 11:22 (NKJV) So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

Both the King James and the New King James versions say: "Have faith in God".  However the original Greek language from which the New Testament was written says, "Have the faith of God".

Well if its the faith of God, then it would be faith that belongs to God or faith that comes from God.  So what kind of faith would belong to God or come from God?  The God kind of course.  Then our Lord was literally saying, "Have the God kind of faith".

I believe that is one of the most awesome things that our Lord ever told us that we could have..."the God kind of faith".  Why? Because the God kind of faith will produce God kind of results.

What kind of faith results does the God kind of faith produce for God?  Let's see what the Bible says:

"For with God nothing will be impossible." (Luke 1:37)

What kind of faith results will the God kind of faith produce for believers?  Again, let's see what the Bible says:

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you".  Matthew 17:20

So the God kind of faith will produce results that are naturally impossible according to human reckoning.  This means that you can live a life of impossibility if you maximize your faith development!

As this visitation occurred, the Lord went on to say to me that "Faith is under attack like never before in the earth.  Therefore I want you to go back home and teach faith like never before!"  It is with this in mind that I have begun the "Faith Alive" Daily Devotional and I will begin the "Faith Alive" Internet T. V. and Radio Broadcasts to fulfill this mandate of the Lord Jesus Christ to me.  For the next 51 weeks, I will be sharing some simple and some profound truths about the "God Kind of Faith" that will help to transform your life.  Many of you reading this e-mail have heard the message of faith and even applied the message of faith in your life and seen God's Word work on your behalf.  Then for others, this message will be brand new for you...but don't worry, we will cover the faith "A, B, C's" and the faith "X, Y, Z's" and everything in between.  (On this blog, I will only be sharing highlights of this Faith Alive Daily Devotional, but if you would like to begin recieving these 3 minute long emails, please email me at contactkafci@kafci.org and we will place you on the Faith Alive Daily Devotional email list. This list will never be sold or given to any other ministry or company!)  For the next 50 weeks we will post in this blog powerful truths about walking in faith!  You can also get the entire teaching by purchasing my book called "50 Days of Faith - Spiritual Growth Study Course".

In next week's blog we will begin by asking and answering the question: "What is Faith"?  You don't want to miss it.  Until next week remember: "We who have the God kind of faith live lives of supernatural impossibility"!
